This smartphone is the successor of the Mi 11 Pro and it packs a lot of powerful punches. Mi Nepal launched this phone on March 30th and in a few days difference, they also launched Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11S. By the way, those are mid-range products. Design and Build
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a big 6.73″ screen on a body that has dimensions of 163.6×74.6×8.2 mm and 205g weight. The phone looks stunning with very thin bezels at the top and bottom. Both front and back sides are curved and the side rail or frame is also thin and looks beautiful. On the right side, there is the volume rocker and power button, on the top side there is a speaker grill, secondary microphone, and IR blaster, and at the bottom, there is a SIM card tray, and USB Type-C port, and speaker grill. Xiaomi 12 Pro has a total of three speakers and has dual stereo speaker support. On the backside, there is Xiaomi branding and a rectangular camera island that boldly shows the main primary wide-angle camera.

Core Hardware: Processor, RAM, Battery
Under the hood, Xiaomi 12 Pro is packing the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and Adreno 730. It is the fastest processor in the market and it is paired with LPDDR5 memory. The base memory in Xiaomi 12 Pro is 8 GB and the base storage is 256 GB UFS 3.1. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is faster in terms of CPU and GPU and significantly faster in AI when compared to Snapdragon 888. In order to cool this powerful chipset, Xiaomi is using LiquidCool Technology which has a vapor chamber and graphite sheets.
The phone has a powerful processor, camera, and screen. So to power all this, there is a 4600 mAh battery which has 120W fast charge support. This is a very high capacity and it is being called Xiaomi HyperCharge by the company. According to Mi.com, the charger can fill the device to 100% in 18 mins on Boost mode and in 24mins on Standard mode.
There is Xiaomi AdaptiveCharge which helps to provide an adaptive rate of charging to provide flexibility and safety. If we just see the size of the battery, it is quite small but the website says that it can provide 5 hours of 1080p video recording, 15 hours of video streaming, and 19 hours of calling with a full charge.
Display and Camera
Xiaomi 12 Pro has an amazing-looking display with curved sides and a small hole punch. The panel is 6.73″ LTPO AMOLED with 1440×3200 resolution and 522 PPI pixel density. It is protected by the latest Gorilla Glass Victus which makes it a bit drop and scratch-resistant. The screen has LTPO technology which provides a refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz and has a 480 Hz touch sampling rate. By variable refresh rate, it means it can shift to different points according to content. For example, the screen can shift among 1Hz, 10Hz, 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz refresh rates.
The screen of Xiaomi 12 Pro has a DCI-P3 color gamut, 1500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ format support, Dolby Vision, and SGS Eye Care Display Certification. On the top of the screen, there is a hole punch with a 32 MP front camera that can record 720p slow-motion videos and also videos in HDR10+.
On the backside, there are three 50 MP cameras. The first one is a main 50 MP wide-angle camera using 1/28” Sony IMX707 with optical image stabilization and Dual Pixel PDAF. The second one is a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a 115˚ field of view and the third one is a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The rear camera setup can record videos at 8K 24 fps at maximum, 4K 60 fps with HDR10+ and 1080p up to 960 fps.
The rear camera has features such as Xiaomi ProFocus for Motion tracking focus / Eye-tracking focus, 50MP mode, Ultra Night Photo, Movie frame, AI distortion correction, HDR10+ Video, One-click AI cinema, and more.
