After about two months of global launch, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S has been launched in Nepal. It is a mid-range smartphone in the Note 11 series that sits below the Pro model and just above the normal Note 11. Well, we have to say that Xiaomi has many models in the same series and with matching names. So we advise our readers to be careful while purchasing and considering the specifications.
Redmi Note 11S sits at the budget segment of Rs 30,000 ($250) and it comes with an Helio G96 processor. This smartphone has quite interesting hardware such as quad cameras at back, a 108 MP main camera, an AMOLED screen, higher peak brightness, and LiquidCool technology. It has all the features like its Pro variant. In our view, The Redmi Note 11S is surely a great challenger to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G in terms of value. Design and Build
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S has a classic design with a 6.43″ screen at the front, a hole punch at the top, and a small chin at the bottom. The overall dimensions are 159.9×73.9×8.1 mm and the weight is 179g. The Note 11S has a flat side with a slight chamfer on both the front and back sides. On the left side, there is a SIM card tray, on the top side, there is a headphone jack, speaker grill, and IR blaster, on the right side there is the volume rocker and power button and on the bottom, there is a USB port and speaker grill. There is an earpiece for calls, and there are speakers on both the top and bottom. So it has dual stereo speakers which means it can provide a great sound experience.
Internal Hardware: Processor, RAM, Battery
Xiaomi has a reputation for using powerful CPUs in their smartphones and they have continued it here as well. Remi Note 11S is powered by an Helio G96 chipset that has Mali-G57 GPU. It is paired with base 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB UFS 2.2 storage. Helio G96 has good performance in normal gaming and normal workloads. It has a performance profile similar to Snapdragon 720G. This Helio G96 is being cooled using LiquidCool technology just like Note 11 Pro. This means there is a consideration for better cooling and higher performance.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S has a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. According to the company website, the phone can be charged to full in 58 minutes. The company claims to provide 16 hours of video playback, 33 hours of calling, and 138 hours of music playback on Note 11S with this 5000 mAh battery.

Display and Cameras
The front side of the phone has a 6.43″ AMOLED screen with 1080×2400 resolution and 409 PPI pixel density. On top, there is Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches and drops. The panel has a 90 Hz fast refresh rate, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and 1000 nits peak brightness. These features make the screen of the Redmi Note 11S quite rich and featureful. Good OLED screen and stereo speakers are great combinations that make Note 11S a nice content consumption device.
On top of the screen, there is a hole punch with a 16 MP selfie camera. Turning to the backside, there are 4 cameras and Xiaomi is calling it a 108MP AI quad-camera system. The primary shooter is a 108 MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture, the second shooter is an 8 MP ultrawide camera with f/2.2 aperture and 118˚ FoV, the third one is a 2 MP macro, and finally fourth is a 2 MP depth-sensing camera. The maximum video recording capacity of this AI quad-camera system is 1920×1080 at 30 fps. The 108 MP camera is Samsung HM2 1/1.52” sensor that does pixel binning.

The Redmi Note 11S price in Nepal is Rs Rs 29,999 for the (6/128GB) variant and Rs 31,999 for the (8GB/128GB) variant. It is available in Polar White, Space Black, and Horizon Blue color options.
