Huawei has launched its flagship of 2017 in Nepal today. The Huawei P10 Plus was announced at a press event at Soaltee Crown Plaza in Nepal. This is the updated iteration of last year’s Huawei P9. At launch, the Huawei P10 Plus price in Nepal is Rs 79,000. This is a full-on flagship smartphone and it competes with the flagship of other companies like Samsung Galaxy S8. Huawei is an old and big player in the telecommunication sector. But their smartphone branch is relatively new. Huawei may be new compared to Samsung, LG, and Sony but they are making pretty good phones. Last year’s Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Lite were very good phones. Design and Build
There are a lot of similarities between the Huawei P10 Plus and its predecessor. Huawei also has just a normal P10 in the portfolio. However Plus is the better variant being offered. Huawei P10 Plus has a slim body with metal construction, 165g weight, and 153.5×74.2×7 mm dimensions. Its backside looks exactly like the iPhone 6S Plus with antenna bands at the top and bottom and cameras at the top. The phone has a screen at the front with a home button that has a fingerprint scanner embedded in it. Right above the screen, there is a selfie camera, sensors, and earpiece.
The top side of the Huawei P10 Plus comes with an IR blaster and microphone while the bottom side comes with a headphone jack, USB Type C port, and speaker. The right side of the phone has a power button and volume button while the left side has SIM and SD card tray.
Core Internal Hardware
On the inside, Huawei P10 Plus has Kirin 960 octa core processor composed of two quad core sets. One is high power Cortex A-73 at 2.4 GHz and next is low power Cortex A-53 at 1.8 GHz. The device utilizes home-made Kirin chipset which means the company has better integration. For memory there is 4 GB RAM and for storage there is 64 GB of storage with memory card support as well. The battery on P10 Plus is 3750 mAh with 18W fast charge. This is a very decent-sized battery for a smartphone of this caliber.

Cameras and Display
The specifications sheet looks very good with all top-notch hardware. So just like other top-level hardware, this phone has a 5.5-inch IPS Neo LCD screen with 1440×2560 QHD. On the outside, the display panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. This is a fantastic resolution for a phone of this size. Also at the front, there is an 8 MP selfie camera with f/1.9 Aperture which takes 1080p videos and sharp photos.
At the back of the Huawei P10 Plus, the camera is very interesting. We see that there are two cameras at the back. The second camera is there to give a good depth of field. First, there is a 12 MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture that has phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization. This helps to get crispy, vibrant, highly detailed photo shots, stills, and 4K videos. Second, there is a 20 MP monochrome sensor with f/1.8 aperture which takes detailed black and white photos with depth of field information.
Conclusion
Looking at the features and price, we can say that Huawei P10 Plus is very near to other flagship phones in the market. It has very good processor, battery, design, and camera optics from Leica. However, some competitors are providing much bigger aperture size for low light. Still P10 Plus is a really good camera phone. Another plus point is IP rating, which is not officialy present here but it is splash-resistant. A official IP rating would have been nicer.
Except few things, Huawei is offering a beautiful and strong design with all the latest hardware. We love the battery size, dual camera and QHD resolution. P10 Plus is packing 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage which is up to the standard. Older Huawei P9 was a success and we believe the P10 Plus also packs awesomeness to be a success.
Huawei’s new after-sales service package is also one of the best in the market. Therefore, it does make up for the price and premium consumers are paying. The company said they see a good future in Nepal and will be bringing more devices in the future.
