CG Electronic recently celebrated its 10 years anniversary in partners meet. They launched a 65” 4K UHD TV and CG Blaze 4G smartphone. CG Blaze 4G price in Nepal is Rs 11,111 and it is an affordable budget smartphone. Almost all mobile phone manufacturers are now actively launching 4G mobiles in Nepal these days. Lalitpur Mobile Complex is also running a mobile exchange program for old 3G phones. People are now jumping into the 4G train so companies are bringing in 4G of flagship and even budget smartphones.
CG also jumped on the train and brought a 4G phone with 4G on its name. CG Blaze 4G name makes everything clear about its network capabilities. This is another addition to the budget smartphone from Chaudhary Group. Some of the latest launches from the company were CG EON Blaze Pro and CG EON Blaze 6.0. Those are also budget devices and come in the same price segment.

Design and Build
CG Blaze 4G has a plastic build with five inches screen at the front and touch navigation buttons at the bottom side. The top or forehead has an earpiece, sensors, and a selfie camera. The backside has texture verticle lines and big CG branding inside a circle at the center. Then at the top, there is a small camera, LED flash, and microphone. In the case of buttons, both the volume rockers and power buttons are on the right side. Finally headphone jack is at the top, speaker grill and USB port are at the bottom side. The phone has classic design which isn’t updated with time but this is a budget phone and here compromises are common.

Core Internal Hardware
On the inside, we get a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Mali T720 GPU on a MediaTek chipset. The processor is the same as the processor on Otto Mark which is MediaTek MT6735. For memory, CG Blaze 4G has 2 GB RAM and it also has 16 GB internal storage. For expansion, it supports external SD cards up to 32 GB. The phone is running with a 2000 mAh battery and Android Marshmallow OS.
As per some reviews, the battery charging is slow and the screen time isn’t that high. As for software, there is CG’s own UI on top which is near to sock Android but the experience isn’t smooth as it should be.
As this is 4G ready phone, you can enjoy 4G LTE service with a dual SIM facility. These two things have now become a basic necessity to be a good smartphone in the market. Thus almost every phone has dual SIM and 4G support. For more features, there are regular necessary features like FM Radio, Bluetooth, and GPS are all available.
Screen and Cameras
CG Blaze 4G hosts a 5” IPS LCD display with 480×850 screen resolution. It is also called FWVGA resolution. For the camera, the front side has a 5 MP camera which is capable of normal photos and conducting decent video chatting. 5 MP is a basic camera so communication can be done and simple photos can be taken. At the back, there is an 8 Megapixel camera. The primary back camera can take decent resolution photos but only HD 720p videos. The Blaze 4G has a very basic camera setup for the price.

Summary
Summing up, CG Blaze 4G has a quad-core processor which is the minimum these days for the latest apps. The phone also has 2 GB RAM for smooth operation. There is also 16 GB of internal storage which is quite sufficient. Lower space than this can cause future problems. One of the drawbacks is smaller SD card support because 32 GB isn’t enough these days.
Camera pixel count on both the front and back camera of Blaze 4G is also standard to the market status. Almost all manufacturers provide similar cameras at this price range. It is very good to see that the phone is running with Marshmallow and has a fairly good battery. This price range is the highest competitive segment in the market. There are many models from various manufacturers which creates lots of choice and competition. So considering the price and the hardware, CG Blaze 4G is reasonable at this price.
