The love of curved screens is on the rise and Xiaomi has addressed it with Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Vatsal Impex has launched the Mi Note 2 in Nepal. It is a high-end phone with lots of powerful hardware and features. The Mi Note 2 is expensive and competes with its flagship hardware and design. The curved screen on the device is like how it was on the Galaxy S6 Edge. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 price in Nepal is Rs 76,999 for the 6/128 GB version.
This is clear that people love curved screen designs these days. That is one reason for the popularity of Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 7. This smartphone is expensive and may not be for everyone but it is for people who want a dazzling and eye-catching phone. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a beautiful phone to look at and it is also powerful to use. The specs on the paper are also amazing so let us start from there.

Design and Build
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a dimension of 156.2 x 77.3 x 7.6 mm and 166g weight. The whole phone has glass on the front and back with a solid metal frame at the center. Both front and back glass are curved at the edges and provide a design just like the Galaxy Note 7. Xiaomi has done this because the curved design looks premium, and unique and people want it.
The Mi Note 2 has a volume rocker and power button on the right side, a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top, a USB Type C port at the bottom, home button with a fingerprint sensor at the front below the screen. On the back there is great-looking glass that has a camera, dual-tone LED flash, and Mi branding.
Core Internal Hardware
Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is the only competitor for this phone in the Android ecosystem. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 offers a Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has a very new Snapdragon SoC but the processor is not octa-core. We have to keep in mind that the newly launched Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has an octa-core processor. So there is already a tough competition out there.
With the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, we get 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM which is enough for almost all users. As there is no micro SD card support we have to do our work with internal storage. However, that is enough from our view because 128 GB is quite a lot of space for mobile. Still, one thing we have to keep in mind is that Mi Note 2 has 4K video recording support. So if people record vig videos, it can fill up the space soon.
For the battery, Xiaomi has provided this device with a 4070 mAh battery. This is a big battery and considering the screen, powerful processor, and the intended users, the battery seems perfect for the phone. The smartphone also includes sensors like a Barometer, Compass, Gyrosensor, and Accelerometer. There is also support for dual Nano SIM with 4G LTE as well.

Cameras and Display
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a big 5.7” AMOLED screen with 1080×1920 resolution. It gives a total of 386 ppi pixel density which is not enough considering the screen size and its price. For such a display, price, and phone of this caliber, this is a bit disappointing because FHD resolutions are not enough for such a gorgeous AMOLED screen. Quad HD (QHD) resolution would have been fantastic. Moreover, a good latest Gorilla Glass would have been fantastic.
Xiaomi is also providing a very high-resolution camera with this product. There is a 22.5 megapixel f/2.0 sensor at the back and an 8 Megapixel f/2.0 camera at the front. The back camera has EIS (Electronic image stabilization) and HDR features which bring out great results. Also, there is a good camera and processor, and the phone can record videos at 4K resolution. In order to take better color photos at night, the Mi Note 2 has dual-LED dual-tone flash.
Conclusion
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a really wonderful design, fantastic curved screen, and glass body. On the inside it has faster quad core processor, large 128 GB storage, 6 GB of RAM and big battery. There is fast charging that helps to save time while charging phone in hurry. The camera quality is great in sufficient lighting and it also has dual LED flash for low light photography. High megapixel back camera can provide high resolution images and better videos.
We asked the company about pricing but they said it is due to the market size and import cost from China. Just looking at the specs sheet and design, everyone will love this phone. Well for the price, it is quite high and it is meant for the flagship market. So it is definitely a good competition for the high end Nepali smartphone market.
