InFocus came to Nepal last year and they are also working to take over the smartphone market. Infocus Epic 1 was launched 6 months ago in the global market but it has just been launched in Nepal. This is a very powerful mid-range smartphone with fantastic specs, design, and power to offer. InFocus Epic 1 price in Nepal is Rs 21,490 and it has such a hardware set that very few competitors in the market can compare to. Its price is near to Galaxy J5 Prime but in specs, it is near to ZTE Axon Mini Premium.
InFocus has very few smartphones in the market but they are quite interesting. Similarly to them, InFocus Epic 1 has a pretty interesting set of hardware for the price. The first and foremost thing is that it is a phone with 10 core processor. This is really amazing feature because almost no flagship also has such a processor. In the upcoming year, phones might reach that stage but for an upper-budget phone, this is quite a surprise.

Design and Build
This is a phablet-sized phone with a 5.5 screen so it is quite big. It has black bezels around the screen and the front part is glass covered. The back has a brushed-metallic finish with rounded curvature for easier grip and maneuvering. The front side actually has a screen, round-shaped earpiece, selfie camera, and sensors. The navigation buttons appear on the screen so there is nothing at the bottom, it’s just a plain blank chin or bezel.
On the metallic back with rounded curves, there is brush finishing, a main camera, a fingerprint sensor, and InFocus branding. The fingerprint sensor is in a very easily reachable position. Side rails are also metallic and both volume rockers and power buttons are on the right side of the phone. USB Type C port and speaker grill are at the bottom while the IR blaster and headphone jack are at the top.

InFocus Epic 1 is powered by a MediaTek MT6797M chipset with 10 core 1.4 GHz processor and Mali T880 GPU. This is also called Helio x20 which has a set of two quad-core sets and one dual-core set. This phone has a very nice metallic body that encloses a 3000 mAh battery. As it has a metal body, the battery and back are non-removable. This is the price to pay for design and compactness. For software, Epic 1 runs on Android Marshmallow with InLife 2 skin on top.
InFocus Epic 1 is a 4G ready smartphone with VoLTE support. It also comes loaded with sensors such as Infrared sensor, Gyroscope and Ambient light sensor. The phone also has USB Type-C which is a very impressive thing because it is the future of connectivity.

Cameras and Display
InFocus Epic 1 has a 5.5″ LTPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080×1920. This is a full HD screen and small in size therefore we get plenty of pixel density. It is an eye-pleasing screen great for movies and video consumption. As for the camera, there is a 16-megapixel main back camera with f/2.0 aperture which brings out very high resolution and sharp images. InFocus provides dual-tone flash and wider aperture which means that images are very bright, detailed, and crispy.
The front side of Epic 1 has an 8 Megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture. This is even wider than back cameras. Thus, users can enjoy very high-quality, bright, detailed selfies and have fantastic video chat experiences.
Summing Up
There are very less smartphones in the market that provide such powerful hardware at such a price tag. With Infocus Epic 1 we get a 10-core processor which is no joke. 3 GB RAM, 32 GB Storage, and huge SD card support are also fantastic. The bright lens and higher pixel count bring great pictures and videos. Epic 1 has Gyroscope which means people can enjoy VR experience. The battery is a bit small but enough to sustain a whole day for the phone. Having USB Type-C, metal body, 4G support, and 1080p display makes Epic 1 justifiable at this price range. In simple words, Infocus Epic 1 is a really great option for the mid-range phone in Nepal.
