Last month my friend and our editor Raunak covered OnePlus 3 launch in India. The event was in Bangalore city of Karnataka in India and we did a live unboxing from the launch venue. Now after one month, OnePlus Nepal launched the OnePlus 3 in Nepal. iHub Pvt. Ltd. which is the official distributor of OnePlus in Nepal launched the phone. As for price, the OnePlus 3 Price in Nepal is Rs 49,900. The smartphone goes on sale on July 27th of 2016. iHub partnered with Kaymu to take preorders till the 24th of July. All the first 100 pre-ordering customers get OnePlus Silver Bullet earphones worth Rs. 1,650 for free.
The OnePlus 3 launched in India at INR 27,999 which translates to NPR 44798.4. So if we add import duty, USD conversion rate, and margins the price seems right. It is far better than what the phone used to cost when OnePlus smartphones in the grey market of Nepal used to cost. Hopefully, the prices will get closer to international prices as the market matures.
In Nepal, there will be pre-orders at first and then direct sales will start. There is no invite system or any such hassle. However, there is a preorder where users can get benefits such as free earphones. After the booking period ends, users can buy the phone from the retail market directly. So, from the 27th of July Nepali customers can purchase the OnePlus 3 at the online and offline markets. The online partner is Kaymu just like last time. According to the company, they got good feedback for OnePlus X, so they are continuing the online practice.

Processor, Memory, Battery, Storage
OnePlus 3 is a flagship-level phone which is near to the flagship price but not quite there. This means it has high-end hardware but a lower price tag. This is seriously a great option for Nepali smartphone lovers who want top hardware. So on the inside, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 6 GB RAM, and 64 GB internal storage.
As this is a One Plus device, there is no memory card. That is one big limitation of phones from this company. It would be better if they included memory card support because people need large storage and memory card. People need more storage especially when a phone has 4K video recording and luckily this phone has 4K video recording capability.

On the backside, there is a 3000 mA battery which is pretty good for a phone of this size. The company is also providing special 20W fast charging support with Dash Charge. The device actually needs the Dash Charger and original data cable to get this rate of charging. It is a very interesting and useful feature because it saves time for users.
OnePlus 3 uses Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Oxygen OS on top. The Oxygen OS is the company’s own UI which is buttery smooth and really clean. It doesn’t have much bloatware and runs smoothly on the system.
Camera and Screen
OnePlus 3 has a 5.5 Inches Optic AMOLED screen with FHD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is a big panel and it is surely good for watching videos, movies, and playing games. OP3 is a solid phone to play games and enjoy multimedia content with its flagship-grade internal, massive screen, and fast charging battery.
In the case of optics, the front side has an 8 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture at the top that can record 1920×1080 videos at 30 fps. It is a standard camera because many phones have 8 MP sensors on the front side. On the backside of the phone, there is an LED flash and 16 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture, The sensor has Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This helps to capture blur-free stabilized photos and videos. For videos, there is powerful 4K UHD video recording and slow-motion support as well.

Additional Features, Purchase, and Availability
OnePlus 3 has lots of features that make it special. At first, it offers 6 GB RAM which almost no currently available flagship in the Nepali market offer. Then there is support for dual nano-SIM cards, 4G LTE for data, VoLTE for voice, NFC, and dual-band WiFi 802.11ac. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the home button at the front. The company claims that the fingerprint scanner can unlock the phone in less than 0.3 seconds and the battery can charge 60% in just 30 minutes. So these are pretty interesting features to have.

In overall view with an analysis of hardware and feature, we can say that the OnePlus 3 price in Nepal is quite right for a flagship killer. The price is certainly higher but this is the best we can get in the Nepali market as of now. It is definitely a great option at this price range and if you want to purchase then get it from Kaymu, Oliz Store, or other retail stores partnering with iHub Pvt. Ltd.
