Honor 10 Lite has been launched in Nepal by the company. This phone came to the international market in 2018 but its is making its way here now. Honor is a relatively new smartphone company in Nepal. They launched four phones in January during their launch event. Honor 10 Lite price in Nepal is Rs 24,990 for 64 GB model. They are trying to broaden the portfolio in the market and their official distributor Kratos Technologies is helping them. Nepali smartphone market is small but it is diverse with products of many companies.
Honor 10 Lite is a phone that has smaller dew drop notch in a big 6.22″ screen. There are a lot of AI-related features in the camera. The most interesting feature is AIS Super Night shot. AIS Stands for Artificial Image Stabilization and it helps to take better low light and night photographs. One new feature is AI-Enhanced calls which is very new to us as well. It is told to improve call quality in the area with poor signal strength.

This smartphone has Kirin processor and Mali GPU. There are many variants of this phone with different RAM and storage but Nepal is only getting 64 GB model at launch. This is a phone for the Rs 25,000 budget and it packs some good features to justify itself. Before we share our impression, let’s discuss its specs.

In the Nepali market, we are getting 3 GB RAM model at launch time. The screen is LCD screen with small dewdrop notch at the top which looks neat than other bigger notches. Kirin 710 is a processor with NPU (Neural Processing Unit) so that phone can take benefit of more AI related features. The 710 consists of two quad-core sets, one is 1.7 GHz and another is 2.2 GHz. It means there is one high power core set and one low power core set
The Honor 10 Lite is coming with a big FHD+ display which is good and it is powered by 3400 mAh battery. There is 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It can be extended using micro SD card. In terms of the camera, there are some perks with software. Sensor wise, there is 13 MP main camera and 2MP camera for depth sensing. Some good camera features are scene recognition, stereoscopic portrait, AI beauty enhancement and AIS super night shot.
Impressions
Honor is a popular brand and they have a good name. The company is new in Nepal and they have around 6 models now. Honor 10 Lite is a bit old phone for the market but it is still relevant. Mostly it has a good big screen and a good set of cameras. Camera hugely relies on software and AI but the sensors are also big. We see focus on selfie with the 34 MP front camera.
We like the fact that there is fast charging support at 10W. Many manufacturers are now giving fast charge support to their mid and entry-level phones. This is a great step forward. We also get other usual things such as rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, micro USB and other sensors. This is a good phone in terms of specs but there is a lot of competition out there in the market. It is a tough segment for everyone. We hope that they bring more better phones at better pricing in 2019.
