On the display side, there is 6.22″ screen with a small notch at top. It has FHD+ resolution and Vivo is calling it Halo Fullview display. The screen is good and big for the price being. HD+ resolution is minimum for such large screens and it is being maintained here. In terms of design, Vivo V91C has gradient color at back. People love these beautiful back but the only way to show them is having a transparent case. We always suggest all smartphone users get a strong safe case for their phones.
Impressions
Vivo is using a big screen and they are pairing a bigger 4030 mAh battery with it. This is a good thing and media consumers can enjoy movies, videos in big real estate. In terms of performance, there is octa-core processor with 2 GB RAM. People these days demand a bit higher memory in their phone. Camera wise there is a single 13 MP sensor at the back which is good on paper and should work well for most users. In reality, people now demand dual cameras for portrait effects.
Vivo is taking help of software and AI integration to achieve better photo results. They are using. For the sensor, there is virtual gyrosensor and E-compass in addition to other basic sensors. In our view, Vivo Y91C looks like a basic phone with big display and battery that can be used for media consumption and daily use. It would have been better if it had higher memory and dual camera. We know the price would have been higher but another variant with such specs would have been better suited for under Rs 20,000 market. People in Nepal are alright with spending a bit more to get better value products.
