Vatsal Impex, which is a subsidiary of Sharda Group and the official distributor of Xiaomi in Nepal is swiftly launching new devices in the market. Just within a short period of one month, Vatsal has launched many Mi devices in Nepal. This time Vatsal Impex dropped two new Redmi Pro series smartphones. The company just launched Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro in the Nepali market. These two are budget range smartphones of two different generations.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro was launched last month in the global market. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro was launched last year in 2015. So the Redmi 2 Pro is old and it is the predecessor of the Redmi 3 Pro. However, Vatsal launched both because of the price difference. Both devices lie in the budget category but due to the huge price gap, they will get different consumers. The Redmi 3 pro is just a month old and it is surprising that the device debuted in Nepal in such a short time and with a plausible price. The Redmi 2 Pro is a bit old but is still a reasonable device.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro price in Nepal is Rs 23,499 and Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro price in Nepal is Rs 15,999. Thus these are in upper-budget and budget-range segments. The Redmi 3 Pro sits below the mid-range segment and both of these phones challenge many other phones in the market. These smartphones are one of the biggest rivals of mobiles in the same price range, such as the Grand Prime, Colors Pearl Black K3, Galaxy J5 2015, and Galaxy J7 2015. So let us see the features and how they compare.

This phone was launched last year and it is a budget phone option from Xiaomi. The Redmi 2 Pro has a small footprint and plastic body. It has a 4.7″ LCD screen with 720×1280 HD resolution and 312 PPI pixel density. On the inside, there is Snapdragon 410 chipset which has a quad-core processor, and Adreno 306 GPU. It is paired with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, and a 2200 mAh battery.

Wrapping Up
From a look at the spec sheet and comparing just the hardware, both devices have a fantastic combination. Things that we mainly consider while comparing devices in the market are power and price. For the price of the Redmi 2 Pro, the hardware being provided is perfectly reasonable. There aren’t many other good offerings of smartphones from competitors at this price, so it is surely attractive. Our only concerns with the Redmi 2 Pro are smaller battery size and lower support of expandable storage which is capped at 32 GB.
In the case of the Redmi 3 Pro, we think that this is a value-providing mobile because there is 3 GB RAM, an 8-core processor, and a 4100 mAh battery. These are rare combinations that we seldom find on such a budget. It also has a perfect screen size, a bright plus vivid display, a fingerprint sensor, and dual SIM card support. It just gives good competition to both the Galaxy J5 (2016) and J7 (2016). So, in an overall sense, the Redmi 3 Pro gives a really good run for its money.
If you have a budget that matches the price of the Redmi 3 Pro then definitely go for it because it wins over many devices in this range. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro is also providing a good deal but you will need to be careful in terms of battery because it is a bit small for medium to heavy users. If you are interested in these devices then you can book and get these at Xiaomi Nepal. Also in case, you need more power for travel and more gadgets, Vatsal has launched a 10,000 mAh Mi Powerbank, Fitness tracker, earphones, and Bluetooth speakers.
