New P50 Plus is a entry level 4G Phone for Nepali market. The official price of Colors P50 Plus is Rs 6,995 at launch.
The current tag line is “Goji Goji maa 4G” which means 4G in each pocket. Mobile phone penetration is increasing in Nepal very fast. Data consumption is also very high these days. In order to bolster this trend Colors is offering a cheaper option to the market with P50 Plus. It is a phone with 5” LCD screen and 854×480 resolution. At top there is a 2.5D glass for better look.

Colors P50 Plus packs Spreadtrum SC9832 SOC with 1.3 GHz quad core processor. It pairs with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage. It can only support maximum of 32 GB micro SD card. The phone uses a 2200 mAh battery to power its hardware. Out of the box, this device is running with Android 7.0 Nougat.
In camera section we have the bare minimum basic. Back camera is 5 MP sensor and front camera is 2 MP sensor. These camera can take HD photos at reasonable quality. Almost all phones at this range provide similar specs. It is dual SIM phone which is essential requirement for phone at this range.
The company ad also says it as cheapest 5 inch 4G phone in Nepal. It is cheap and does feature the service it advertises. Design of the phone is a bit refreshed with newer flush camera placement. Colors doesn’t use heavy UI over Android so it is almost stock. We like such implementation as it makes phones fast and better.
