Oppo A71 (2018) is a new mid range phone of new generation. It is updated version of older A71. The refresh came very fast to the market but that is what market demands. It is a budget range smartphone with most of the specs well balanced. Price of Oppo A71 2018 in Nepal is Rs 15,990 at launch time. It lies in such segment where most people look for best value.
We don’t mean that people don’t look for value in other range. But people who invest this money are people who need a phone that will suffice their basic and somewhat plus needs. People who buy flagship phones do want everything but can pay a premium. Thus price doesn’t play such big role there.
Anyways to start off, Oppo A71 (2018) packs a 5.2” IPS LCD with 720×1280 resolution. Powering the phone, Snapdragon 450 SOC runs with 1.8 GHz Octa Core processor. There is 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. The SD card support is 256 GB at maximum. It encompasses a metal construction even though being a budget phone.

For power, there is a 3000 mAh battery inside. The new Oppo A71 runs on Android 7.1 with Color OS 3.2. In the camera side, there is 13 MP f/2.2 sensor at back. At front there is 5 MP f/2.4 module. The back camera can record videos at 1920×1080 resolution. HDR feature is available which can give very good results in non-ideal lighting situation.
Oppo A71 (2018) has dual SIM support but no fingerprint scanner. There are sensors like proximity and compass though. Fingerprint scanner is now very common and demanded feature. Looking at the hardware of the phone, it can handle medium level tasks and gaming with ease. The RAM can handle few multi tasking jobs as well.
At the current time of release, this seems to be pretty standard budget phone. Only thing missing here is the fingerprint scanner. This can be a deal breaker for some people and specially youth. These days better camera, design and trendy features are most in the market.
