Samsung Nepal launched the Galaxy S9, S9+ in Nepal at media launch event at Yak and Yeti. The phone was unveiled at MWC 2018 on February 25 and at India a week ago. Nepal is getting only 64 GB variants for both models. Current price of Galaxy S9 in Nepal is Rs 92,900 and S9+ is Rs 1,04,900 at launch. Both are dual SIM models like previous years. Users are getting Lilac Purple, Coral Blue and Midnight Black color options.
People will get their phones on March 23rd after registration or at retail outlet as well. It seems more of a refined version of S8 and S8 Plus. Actually company is trying to improve and give what people like. They are conflating more features and making good package each year. There are many new things in these smartphones to talk about. It includes new processor, camera, sensor placements, audio and much more
Nepali users are going to get the base model for now. Both S9 Plus and S9 do support SD cards upto whooping 400 GB. Company is going to assess demand and then only launch higher storage model. Most of the time, memory card do suffice but faster UFS storage does helps a lot in 4K 60 fps recording.
Initial Impressions
First of all, the design is just sightly changed but fingerprint sensor placement is major positive change. It is now much easier to reach it without smudging camera. We are happy how Samsung is listening to customers. The phone now uses its top speaker along with bottom one to provide stereo sound. Also in our view Blood Pressure measuring system is what impressed us a lot.
The Exynos version of Nepali market is as fast as Snapdragon 845 according to company. Camera does come with lots of improvements this time. The aperture game is now at f/1.5 and also at dual aperture. We can now take amazing 4K videos are 60 fps which is amazing just like 960 fps video. Samsung AR Emoji is a new interesting thing that wants to compete with Apple apparently. There is no word on the new Dex station at all from the company.
Sales, Pre-booking, EMI and Offers
If people take the 5K discount, then the price of Galaxy S9 comes to be Rs 87,900 and price of S9+ comes to be Rs 99,900.
