Core Hardware
To begin, we are getting a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor on Mediatek 6580 chipset with Colors Pride P-85+. For memory and storage, there is 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and 32 GB micro SD card support. There is a removable 2600 mAh battery inside the phone which is upgraded in size compared to Pride P85’s 2500 mAh battery.
For OS, this new phone is running Android Marshmallow with all cool features like Doze Mode, Adoptable storage, and better battery saving. Colors is keeping its tradition of putting near-stock Android which is always good. Pride 85+ also has dual SIM support with different SIM slots. One slot is standard size and the next is Micro SIM size, so both sizes are supported.
Cameras and Display
On the front side of Colors Pride P-85+ top there is a 5.3” IPS screen with a 720p screen which is protected by Asahi glass. It is very good to have screen protection because most companies don’t provide such glass with budget series. Most companies uses Corning for expensive phones and Asahi for affordable cheaper phones.

The company brands Pride P85+ as a “Camera Phone” so there are lots of improvements in the camera section. Both front and back cameras have huge upgrades in power compared to Pride P85. The back camera of P85+ comes with a 13 MP sensor and f/2.0 aperture accompanied by a tri-color LED flash. Similarly at the front, there is an 8 MP camera with LED flash. The use of LED flash on front and triple color LED at the back shows focus on the selfie and camera
Camera improvement is a very good thing in a smartphone because these days people mostly take photos with mobile only. These sensors on cameras provided on Colors Pride P-85+ can take well-detailed high-resolution pictures and full HD videos. There is also an HDR option for the back camera in the camera app and the autofocus is also great. So the overall camera performance is very good for a budget smartphone.
Conclusions
Colors is packing a good set of hardware such as a quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, and 2600 mAh battery in metallic design on Pride P-85+. Just alone by these specifications, it is a good budget option. We also get lots of sensors and features with this phone but there is no fingerprint sensor. It was a fascinating feature to see in Colors Pride P85. It looks like the company has put effort into the camera by trading out a fingerprint scanner. Actually, the fingerprint sensor is a little updated but really improves the phone feature set.
Colors Pride P85+ is a pretty good phone at this price. Many companies don’t offer such powerful camera features and hardware combinations at this price as well. This can be a good option for selfies and photography lovers on a budget. Assessing the total package, it can be a great handset for anyone. On top of all, Colors is providing a free case with each purchase.
