Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S21 series on January 14th. This year there are three models, and they come with new upgrades and improvements. Features Overview
These new smartphones bring many improvements compared to Galaxy S20 series products. Similar to last year, Galaxy S21 Ultra is the top-end phone like Galaxy S20 Ultra. The S21 Ultra comes with the best specifications such as a big display, QHD+ resolution, large battery, quad cameras, 1500 nits peak brightness, 108 MP main camera, and periscope telephoto camera. Galaxy S21 and S21+ have similar specifications in terms of camera, memory, and storage options. The only differences are screen and battery size. Both phones have big displays that max out at 1300 nits peak brightness. All S21 series smartphones have Gorilla Glass Victus on both sides. They also a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ rated screen. The rear camera can do 8K video recording and the front camera can do 4K videos at 60 fps.
The back camera set of the phones support video recording at a maximum resolution of 8K at 24 fps. Other supported formats are 4K 60 fps, 1080p 240 fps and 720p at 960 fps. The devices can record HDR10+ videos with great details and rich color quality. Samsung is using their latest Exynos 2100 processor in S21 series products for the international version. This new chip is much faster than the predecessor Exynos 990 that was in Galaxy S20. However, the USA models come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. There are some new differences in this generation. Samsung has also changed the design with a matte finish, fewer curves, and contour cut camera back. The company has removed the SD card slot, which is a bit disappointing. They are still carrying on with no headphone jack, and they have also removed the charger from the retail box.
