Huawei Nepal is expanding its Y series this 2018. They now have Y7 Pro and Y9 2018 models in the market. Y9 sits in mid range category while Y7 Pro sits in edge of budget segment. The official Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 price in Nepal is Rs 20,900. It is a phone that is challenging lots of other mobiles in market. After this release P20 and P20 Pro are on pipeline for Nepal.
The all new Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 is a large form factor phone of phablet category. It features a 5.99” HD+ IPS LCD screen. It has tall 18:9 aspect ratio with 720×1440 resolution. This new aspect ratio is becoming very common since last year and we will see this trend go on from now.
On the inside we get octa core processor on Qualcomm Snapdragon 430. There is one 1.4 Ghz quad core and another 1.1 GHz quad core set inside the SOC. The Y7 Pro comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It also supports memory card up to 256 GB. The system is powered by a 3000 mAh battery at the back.

Regarding camera side, there are 13 MP f/2.2 and 2 MP shooters at back and at front there is 8 MP f/2.0 shooter. Both cameras can record videos at 1920×1080 at 30 fps. Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 is running on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 overlay. The phone supports dual Nano SIMs and LTE Cat 4 as well. It features new face unlock with new algorithm according to the company. In the sensor department, users get Proximity, Compass and Accelerometer. Huawei has kept headphone jack with phone so we are happy with that.
New Y7 Pro supports 2 SIM cards and 1 memory card all the same time in single long tray. Overall the design looks pretty nice with the glossy side rail. We like the black color model actually. The back cameras are horizontally aligned at the top corner which looks nice. Huawei is playing smooth this quarter with their budget and mid range phones and this will continue. So lets see what more they will offer this year to Nepali consumers.
