Oppo F7 is the company’s new mid range offering to its customers. In Nepali market they launched the Oppo A71 2018 last month only. This new phone is featuring a great looking tall display with notch at top. It has new chipset, bigger storage, larger display and a high pixel count front camera. The Oppo F7 Price in Nepal is Rs 36,590 for 64 GB variant and Rs 46,590 for 128 GB model.
We know that Oppo and Vivo are of same parent company. Vivo V9 is also a a smartphone of same caliber and it is priced at same range. Oppo F7 has a very large 6.23” LTPS IPS LCD screen. It has a screen resolution of 1080×2280 which is taller than usual at 19:9 aspect ratio. Oppo has increased the screen size and reduced the bezels by pushing the aspect ratio further.
With the great looking skin, we do get a notch at top. It is common to see many manufacturers implement the notch cut to fit camera, speaker and sensors. Some people love it and some people don’t. But in order to have full screen at front, manufacturers either keep small chin or have the cut.

The Oppo F7 not only pushes boundaries in screen real estate, it also features some powerful hardware. It houses an octa core processor on Mediatek Helio P60 chipset. It is very capable and interesting chipset. The Helio P60 has NeuroPilot AI which helps to produce better images and aids better face detection. It is much faster and much power efficient SOC.
Regarding memory and storage, there are two versions altogether. One has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage while next has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. It also has a dedicated memory card slot that supports 256 GB cards as well. So for most people storage won’t matter but RAM will. Nepal is getting both models which is fantastic. The Oppo F7 runs with a 3400 mAh battery and Android Oreo out of the box.
Camera is part where things are interesting. The F7 houses single 16 MP f/1.8 sensor at back which is very good considering pixel count and aperture. At front there is a 25 MP f/2.0 shooter which is amazing. The front and back cameras can take very high resolution pictures with great details without a doubt. While every company is having dual back camera, Oppo F7 is featuring single camera which is interesting. They are betting on their software and AI features for better image on this one.
The fingerprint sensor is at back because the front face is almost full screen. Even though being such a new gen phone the Oppo F7 has Micro USB 2.0. We suggest them to move to USB Type C like others for betterment of everyone. Overall, Oppo F7 seems like a great package for media consumers. It provides large screen real estate for movie watching, browsing and games. The hardware is powerful enough for multitasking and hardcore gaming as well. It would have been cherry topping if it had UHD video record support like V9 and slightly bigger battery. Nonetheless, Oppo F7 is a pretty powerful and decent device in the mid range category that is definitely suited for selfie lovers and content consumers.
