Vivo Nepal launched the new Vivo S1 Pro today on December 29th. They just launched it two days before the new year 2020. We can take this as a new year’s eve arrival. This smartphone is coming to Nepal quite earlier because the Indian launch is on January 4. The Vivo S1 Pro Price in Nepal is Rs 36,790 for the 128 GB model with 8 GB RAM. There is only one variant right now and it is quite powerful. This mid-range phone has interesting hardware and design such as a diamond-cut camera placement at back.
We got the rumor of the launch of the Vivo S1 Pro from some sources. Now it is a reality and as expected, we have the price and pre-booking details. The company is taking bookings through Daraz. The phone will be available through offline stores as well. Vivo Nepal is also currently hosting the Sales Carnival 2019. In this scheme, there are discounts on selected models. The company is doing a lot right now and well it seems right for the festival season.
Vivo S1 Pro is a good mid range smartphone with a nice screen, battery, and camera. The company is also using the latest Qualcomm chip. The Snapdragon 665 is an SoC of 2019 and it has an octa-core processor which is quite powerful. This chipset uses AI for providing powerful gaming and camera capabilities. There are other powerful features as well but let us see the specs first.

This mobile phone has a big 6.38″ AMOLED display with HD+ resolution and a small notch. So this looks beautiful. Then on the inside, there is 8 core chip which has 2 GHz and 1.8 GHz quad-core sets. For memory, there is 8 GB DDR4 RAM and for storage, we have 128 GB onboard space. The S1 Pro also features a 4500 mAh battery with fast charging. These things are very interesting and except for the processor, everything is of flagship level.
The cameras on this phone are also special. At the front, the notch houses 32 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. At the back, there are four cameras and their placement is very unique. The modules sit in a neat looking quadrilateral or diamond. The main sensor is wide 48 MP with f/1.8 aperture. Then there is an ultrawide 8 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Finally, we have two 2 MP modules od the same f/2.4 aperture. One is a macro camera and another is a depth sensor. This is a good combination but the maximum video resolution is 1920×1080 at 30 fps. It needs to be upgraded to 4K in our view.
Other Features and Impression
There are usual hardware such as USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 5. Vivo used to have MicroUSB on their devices. But now we see Type C and this is great. We like a positive change. Next, the fingerprint scanner is also there under the screen. The battery also supports 18W fast charging. Assessing everything, we see the S1 Pro as a good phone.
The processor is new and has a good octacore processor. It is not the top end but for the price range, it is good. The selection of memory and storage is top end and we cannot expect more than this. Battery size, screen size, and quality are also very good. Vivo gets a thumbs up for using AMOLED.
The cameras on this smartphone as also quite good. 48 megapixel is the current trend and the company is following it. There are all kinds of sensors and now all we want to see is UHD video recording. Vivo S1 Pro is a good phone from the company and if you think its price fits your budget then do keep it in your options list.
