Vivo S1 Pro Launch

Vivo S1 Pro and Y90

According to our sources, Vivo Nepal is planning to launch the Vivo S1 Pro in Nepal before the end of this year. This is looking like a year-end closure launch or let’s say new year eve launch. The Vivo S1 Pro is a mid-range smartphone with 48 MP camera, 8 GB RAM and 4500 mAh battery. The company is going to launch this phone with the slogan “Upgrade Your Style”. This symbolizes the new design change on this phone.

For the first time, Vivo is implementing new camera placement with a diamond-shaped cut at back. This is a new experiment and it looks nice in the renders. The S1 Pro already has good specs and design. The only arrow left in their disposal is not the pricing. If the pricing of the phone is right, it can do great. By the way, we have the specifications Vivo S1 Pro. They are pretty good and here they are.

  • 6.38″ SAMOLED Screen with 1080×2340 resolution
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 128 GB Onboard storage with 256 GB microSD card support
  • 4500 mAh Battery with 18W fast charging
  • 32 Megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera
  • 48 Megapixel f/1.8, 8 Megapixel f/2.2, 2 Megapixel f/2.4 depth sensing and macro camera

The quad-camera is very good because we can enjoy ultrawide, macro and bokeh effects all from one phone. Render images of S1 Pro looks very pretty and the camera placements actually do look good. We do have to see the real-life performance of this new smartphone.

Vivo Y90 Price Drop for Sales Carnival

Vivo Nepal is hosting the 2019 Sales Carnival Season 2 and it is going good. The festivals are also coming such as Christmas. New Year is also near so the company has dropped the price of Vivo Y90. This smartphone is now worth Rs 12,590. Its previous price was Rs 13,690 so the total price cut is Rs 1,100. For a mobile phone in this category, it is a big cut. The discount’s value comes in relation to its maximum retail price.

It is a budget range smartphone and it was launched a few months back. Previously they didn’t compete in this range but now they are doing it well. The price drop makes Y90 a good option. Here are the hardware specifications of Vivo Y90.

  • 8 Megapixel back camera with f/2.0 aperture
  • 5 Megapixel selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture

This smartphone is still running Android 8.1 with Funtouch UI. This is a bit old and a software update could be better for everyone. However, in terms of the specifications, the Y90 has good normal hardware. The screen is quite big and is HD. Battery size is also very respectable at 4030 mAh. The camera and software just lag a bit behind.
