Samsung Galaxy J4 is the new J series phone in the family. J6 is the bigger brother while J3 and J4 are new smaller brothers. The Galaxy J4 (2018) refreshes the older phones in Nepali market. Samsung Nepal is in race for launching phones this season. There are two variants available actually. One is 16 GB and next is 32 GB. Budget phones should get better and are getting better. It is a tough market with lots of competition though. Samsung’s Galaxy J4 is another budget range phone that is set to replace some old players. This phone has 5.5″ 720×1280 HD SAMOLED screen. Inside it has Exynos 7570 chipset with 1.4 GHz quad core processor.
Hardware Specifications and Details
As explained above, there are two variants with different storage and memory. The 2 GB RAM model has 16 GB space while 3 GB RAM version supports 32 GB. As standard, there is support for SD card up to 256 GB. A 3000 mAh battery powers up the system and Android Oreo runs inside the core.
At back side, there is 13 MP f/1.9 camera module and at front there is 5 MP f/2.2 module. Both sides have LED flash feature so it is good point for casual picture takers. This is a very simple looking smartphone with normal looking body, front fingerprint scanner. J4 2018 still uses Micro USB which is pretty bizarre.
Galaxy J4 is like a replacement for older popular Galaxy J7 Nxt. It was a great phone and it certainly replaces that. Samsung is continuing their support to J series by providing AMOLED screen. Dual messenger, Secure Folder and Storage Booster are some features of this phone.
Looking at the specs and feature set of Galaxy J4, it seems like a good entry range phone. The only small con is the quad core processor because its 2018 and people expect at least six cores because we have been seeing quad core since past four years. Camera is average powered and can provide good right resolution results. For anyone who is in this budget looking particularly for Samsung phone, J4 is a good option.
