Galaxy J7 Pro or J7 2017 has been officially launched in Nepal. Samsung Nepal brought Galaxy J7 Max few weeks ago. This is the best phone in J series for this year. Samsung is refreshing other models in this family too. Current price of Galaxy J7 Pro in Nepal is Rs 32,990.
J7 Pro is company’s best offer for 2017 in J series. They have included very good hardware, improved design and power. There are quite few differences between Max and Pro. Quite a few things have changed since last year’s model. The specs are far better and design is also better.
Galaxy J7 Pro Specifications
Galaxy J7 Pro has a new design with metallic construction, rounded edge and new hardware layout. Camera is now placed vertically instead of horizontally. They are now antenna bands on back of the phone in new design. Camera is also hugely improved with wider aperture. These are the specs of J7 Pro according to spec-sheet.

Things look attractive on paper and phone. At the top we have 5.5” 1080p AMOLED screen which supports AOD feature. Always on Display feature was introduced in Galaxy S7. Below the panel, J7 Pro is rocking powerful octa-core processor on Exynos chipset. Exynos is considered a good chipset. The GPU is actually old and same as of predecessor.
64 GB On board storage is amazing and it also supports SD card up to 256 GB. Camera pixel count for both sides are 13 MP but there is difference in aperture size. Back camera has wide aperture of f/1.7 while front has only f/1.9. Front camera can take good selfies, full HD videos but back camera is exceptional. f/1.7 aperture is very wide for great low light shots. It gets good picture with less noise.
Pro packs 3600 mAh battery which is perfect for the phone of this size and power. With Android 7.1, this phone is running new Samsung Experience UI on top. Galaxy J7 Pro has fingerprint sensor on home button and it has sensors such as Gyrosensor, compass etc.
Impression
Honestly Galaxy J7 Pro packs powerful hardware. It has good chipset, processor, sufficient RAM and amazing camera with long battery life. There are almost all basically required sensors too. The question lies on pricing or our concern, increasing price.
Price of J series phones any other series products is increasing revision by revision. We know spending capacity of people is also increasing buy J series is popular for budget and upper budget range. But J7 Pro now sits in mid range category in terms of pricing. We hope Samsung focuses more on budget category. Other than that J7 pro is a very good choice for now.
