In this new phone, there are many upgrades over the regular M30. The first thing we like is the continuation of AMOLED screen. The screen size is the same but the resolution is slightly increased. On the inside, there is Exynos 9611 which is an octa-core chip with 2.3 GHz and 1.7 GHz quad-core sets. As told earlier, there are two models with two different memory and storage combination. Both are powerful but the model with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is a better choice. Users can definitely utilize the higher storage as there is 4K 30 fps recording.
The battery on Galaxy M30s is 6000 mAh which is an insane amount and it is very interesting. It was 2015 when Gionee introduced Marathon M5 with such a large battery. Since then we haven’t reviewed any mobile with such capacity. Samsung is providing 15W fast charging with this. It is good that we have the feature but 25W would have made is much better. A battery of this size can surely run the mobile with anytype of use for whole day and even 2 days easily with mid level use.
Upgraded Cameras
Samsung has now introduced a 48 MP sensor to its mid-range segment as well. This has been a trending camera feature in the global market for quite some time. The M30s has one 48 MP main camera with a wide-angle lens, then there is 8 MP sensor with ultra-wide optics and finally, there is 5 MP depth sensor. This is a very good combination and Samsung has been perfecting its triple camera game since Galaxy A7 2018 since last year.
The predecessor of this mobile also has a triple camera but this time there are much better things. This setup supports 4K 30 fps recording and also has gyro-EIS. On top of that, users can also enjoy slow otion video recording and hyperlapse a well. In the case of front selfie camera, everything is the same. We can expect a very high resolution and sharp photos from the main sensor of this camera. These days people look for camera more than anything in a phone. So companies are also focusing on that. That is good because brands should cater to the need in order to grow.
Extra Features and Impressions
Samsung has kept good features such as rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, headphone jack, USB Type-C and Bluetooth 5 in this mobile. There is also Dolby Atmos for headphones which helps to provide great sound. The company has made some design change and there is a single sim tray that can take all three things. So users can install 2 SIM Cards and 1 micro SD card all at the same time. This phone is dual VoLTE capable so when NTC and Ncell are ready with VoLTE, users can enjoy great service and sound quality.
