Gionee S11’s little brother S11 Lite hit the Nepali market on 2018 February. This is one of company’s initial international launch. It is a lower mid range or upper entry level phone. The official price of Gionee S11 Lite in Nepal is Rs 25,999 at launch. Most companies launch phones very late in Nepal but Gionee launched it here very fast.
Mobile phones of every range are getting better and powerful each year. Companies are trying to bring good options to the customers regularly. Gionee S11 Lite is such phone which tries to address a special crowd. This new phone is offering 5.7” IPS LCD screen with 720×1440 tall 18:9 aspect ratio resolution. Taller display with less bezels is the new running trend of 2018 in smartphone market.

S11 Lite is running with 1.4 GHz octa core processor on Snapdragon 430 chipset. There is just one variant with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It also supports external SD card up to 256 GB. Gionee S11 Lite is rocking Android 7.1 with 3030 mAh battery inside. At top there is Amigo UI which is common with Gionee mobiles.
At back side there dual camera set, one is 13 MP and another is 2 MP at f/2.2. Back side camera can only record videos at 1080p at max resolution. The front side camera is 16 MP f/2.0 which is higher than main module. This shows focus on selfie game than regular users. People can get sharper and better selfies than from back camera. Both cameras can take very good and detailed photos with such high pixel count.

Gionee S11 Lite Impression
Fingerprint sensor is at the back side of the phone. There are many features with the S11 Lite. It has USB OTG, compass, app lock, game mode and much more. Feature wise we are getting some good additions. Anyways, we can see that Gionee is also focusing on selfie instead of traditional primary camera.
It means more power is directed to other side and people who don’t take selfies are not getting the right power. The chipset is good but other newer and better processors from Qualcomm can be found in competitors. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is a very close competitor with really good hardware.
The phone costs near to many mid range phones. At just few thousand addition Galaxy J7 Pro and Mi A1 can be found which has quite better hardware and nice camera. Gionee is providing good high amount of memory and storage which is very nice. In our first impression, S11 Lite is a decent phone for selfie lovers which could have been better if priced a bit cheaper.
