Colors Nepal launched a new smartphone again this quarter. The Pride P65 is out just few weeks before launch of Colors S9. Launch price of Colors P65 is Rs 7,995 in Nepal. They are very well known for making budget oriented phones. By budget we mean entry level phones. Nepali market actually needs cheaper 4G phones for better internet and technology penetration.
Colors P65 has a 5” IPS LCD Display with resolution of 480×854. Under the back, it packs a 3000 mAh battery. Inside we get a 1.3 GHz quad core processor on MediaTek MT6580 SOC. It works with 1 GB RAM and Mali 400 GPU. There is 8 GB on-board storage support which is reasonable at this price.
The phone supports maximum 128 GB of memory card. So music, videos and photos storage isn’t a big issue. Both front and back sides have 5 MP camera. Back side features f/2.0 aperture which can record 720p videos. Front side has screen flash to compensate for low light. Pictures and videos are pleasing and good enough for price being.

We can’t expect high resolution and bigger sensors at entry level at this time. In future sure we will get fat better than this. Pride P65 is a dual SIM phone with 4G band Support. The phone is operating with Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Colors mostly use stock UI which is very nice.
The company says, it has Hi-Fi speakers for better sound quality. This is why phone is tagged as music phone. We really like that the company has put an effort on optics. There is hard camera lens at back which protects from scratch and breaks.
Company is offering only two colors options. There is just Matte Black and Champagne Gold. The competition of entry level is getting better these days and people are expecting higher specs now. We hope Color keeps the spirit and brings more better phones in future. We really wish that phone companies help to totally replace bar phones from people’s hand in rural areas. Then only we can improve reach of information and technology everywhere.
