Specs wise we see a very good phone rich with power. The triple camera has a very high pixel dense sensor. 48 MP is insane amount of pixels. This camera setup can record videos at 4K 30 fps and take photos at very high resolution. We like the fact that both sides of camera has Gyro EIS. Kirin 970 is a two year old processor with one high power quad core and next low frequency quad core processor set.
In case of display it seems a very good design and the resolution is FHD+ so it a good one. However if we see memory and storage, the 8 GB and 128 GB combo seems crazy good. This is fantastic but we are always on the side of SD card support so it a a bit downside that there is no memory card slot. But for many people 128 GB is certainly more than enough. It is a only a problem when we take many 4K videos.
Battery size is also pretty good considering the screen size and specs of the phone. We want all the manufacturers to push that envelope further. Feature wise Huawei Nova 4 is impressive. It has all the basic sensors, USB Type C, fast charging and many other features. It is also running on Android Pie with EMUI 9.
Nova 4 Impression and overview
Huawei Nova 4 is a new interesting phone which comes with new design and new generation specs. It is much more powerful and is definitely a big upgrade over the older Nova 3 and Nova 3i. Punch hole display is a great new tactics to remove the notch and it looks pretty good.
Camera side of the phone is also very strong with such high pixel cameras at both sides. 48 MP sensor actually stands out in the crowd for the high resolution images. The battery size is also on good side with fast charging included. For the processor, we would have liked a bit powerful processor. Other memory and storage are solid in our view. It is an expensive phone and it does have the looks, features and the only small thing lacking is more powerful processor that users demand. Otherwise, we love the display with such great screen to body side ratio and less bezels.
