Just after a short interval of Vivo V9‘s launch, the company has the newer V9 Youth out in market. Youth model is very similar to regular Vivo V9 but there are some crucial changes. By all means it is a mid range smartphone that has a very big display and good selfie camera. The Vivo V9 Youth price in Nepal is Rs 29,390. Both models of Vivo V9 look exactly similar but there are some key hardware difference.
The Vivo V9 Youth comes with same 6.3” IPS LCD with 1080×2280 screen resolution. It has same screen so same notch at the top as well. Clearly it has large screen real estate which many people like due to less bezel and new design. On top there is Gorilla Glass 3 protection that makes it more durable. Fingerprint scanner is at the back just like regular model.
Hardware Specs and Details
Things are different on the inside in Vivo V9 Youth. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SOC with 1.8 GHz octa core processor. It has 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage which is a standard these days. The phone also supports external SD cards up to 256 GB with ease. As the chipset is different, the GPU is Adreno 506. The phone has same size battery of 3260 mAh packed inside like regular V9.
Camera section is also different here on Vivo V9 Youth. At the back, it holds 16 MP +2 MP dual camera setup. Front side features just single 16 MP f/2.0 sensor for high detailed selfie. There pixel count of front camera is lower than regular V9 and back camera also can’t record in 4K like the big brother. Secondary camera at back is also 2 MP compared to Vivo V9’s 5 MP one.
For everything other than these things, V9 Youth packs all other features and sensors. Battery size is same so users can enjoy similar or a bit better battery life. The new phones run on Android Oreo Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. The Vivo V9 and V9 Youth have some clear hardware differences thus the apparent price difference.
Both of these phones have good hardware and build but V9 Youth is a bit trimmed down version. It offers same good looking big display at lower price with sacrifice of hardware. It can be agreeably for some users who want a good looking phone with good selfie camera and battery size. The rear camera is also high resolution and can give good bokeh effect but we miss high resolution recording. Both phones are great but make your decision carefully by assessing what you need.
