Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is an entry level budget smartphone. It has very basic hardware, power, and features. Nepal Telecom (NTC) is bundling Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 in an offer and selling it in the market. NTC is not bundling the ordinary GSM model. Rather they are selling the handset that supports both GSM and CDMA cards. That means both the SIM card and RUIM card can be used. As THE Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is a dual SIM smartphone, it is more flexible. This phone and offer are specially targeted toward users in Nepal who live in places with network problems.
Using both SIM and RUIM cards can help in a situation where one operator’s network doesn’t work, but another one does. Nepal has a lot of such places. Design and Build
Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 has a very normal design and plastic build. It has a 4″ screen at the front with a touch-capacitive button and a home button at the bottom chin. Then there are the front camera and earpiece at the top with Samsung branding. The body is small with rounded corners. On the back, there is a camera and a removable back cover. Both Galaxy Ace 4 LTE and CDMA variants have the same body. The only differences are with network and SIM card support. Otherwise, power, software, and features are the same.

Core Hardware
Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is powered by a dual-core processor with a 1.2 GHz frequency. It has a total of 512 MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. There is support for a maximum of 64 GB micro SD card for storage expansion. This is good because 4 GB is not quite enough for normal users. At least 8 GB is the minimum these days. And if you put photos and music, the demand is even higher.
The RAM is just 512 MB, and it is a basic amount of memory to have in an Android phone these days. This is very minimal, and there could be a lot of hiccups. We recommend at least 1 GB RAM at this time. Apps are now getting bigger and demand more memory. Also, as time passes by, the memory demand will be even higher in the near future.
The battery on this Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is only 1500 mAh, which is pretty disappointing. Even the older Galaxy Y had a 1200 mAh battery. So we expect to have a bit bigger battery because the hardware is better. In the case of features, there is WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and Accelerometer. It is an elementary set of features and sensors to have.

Display and Camera
On the front side of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4, there is a 4″ LCD screen with 480×800 resolution. The display is quite good with WVGA resolution. This is normal in budget smartphones. The screen size is good for normal day-to-day usage. The Ace 4 has a 3.1 MP camera on the backside capable of recording videos at 640X480 resolution.
Results from the rear camera are not that usable because of low resolution and less sharpness. This is only SD video recording and there is no support for HD recording. The front side has a 0.3 MP VGA camera, and it can do very basic video calls. The video and selfie quality is quite poor because this is a subpar sensor.
Nepal Telecom Galaxy Ace 4 Bundling Offer
CDMA is special, and most popular brands don’t manufacture such models now. If you really need a smartphone that supports both CMDA and GSM simultaneously, then Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 CDMA is a good budget choice. NTC is offering a package of Rs 3,900 free with the bundling. This includes a free RUIM Card worth Rs 200. On top of that, users get free talk time of Rs 100 and a Data Card worth Rs 3,600 (Rs 300 x 12 Months = Rs 3600). The total cost of the phone is just Rs 11,490. So, if we look from the perspective of network profit, there is a lot of value.
To claim a free RUIM Card, customers need a passport-sized photo and a copy of the official identity card. This includes a photocopy of a Citizenship, Passport, or driving License. Customers need to fill out the required form to get a new NTC CDMA card and activate it. To activate the RUIM Card and data plan, dial 1415, and follow the instructions.
