Xiaomi Nepal has launched the Redmi 10 in the Nepali market with Snapdragon 680 processor and 50 MP primary camera. This is a budget smartphone from the company which has a 6.71″ LCD screen and dual cameras on the backside. It also has a massive 6000 mAh battery on the inside with 18W charging support. In this article, we shall discuss in detail about the hardware specifications and features of this phone.
It is very confusing and hard to understand Xiaomi’s naming scheme. This Redmi 10 which has been launched in Nepal in 2022 is just a rebranded Redmi 10C or Redmi 10 Power. All these are the same phones and on top of that, there is a separate Redmi 10 2022 which is different by miles. Moreover, the company already launched Redmi 10 Prime last year which had more cameras than this and came in the same price range. These things make it very confusing for us and we surely understand that these things are harder for normal people. So we hope the company fixes this next time because a confused customer is not good for anyone. Now let’s carry on with our briefing on the phone.

Design and Build
Redmi 10 has a plastic build with rounded corners and a slightly curved back. On the right side of the phone, there is the volume rocker and power button, on the top there is a 3.5mm headphone jack and on the bottom, there is a USB port and speaker grill. On the front side, there is a big screen with a thick chin and noticeable bezels which is common in budget phones.
At the back, there is a very large camera bump with two cameras, one LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner. Smartphone users do like rear-mounted fingerprint scanner because it is easy to reach but the placement in this phone makes it a bit higher and hard to reach. It is certainly hard to reach near the camera lenses and it’s definitely not a natural position.

Internal Hardware: Processor, RAM, Battery
Inside this phone, Xiaomi is providing Snapdragon 680 processor with 4 GB RAM and a 6000 mAh battery. The battery supports 18W charging but the company is only given a normal 10W charger inside the box. In the case of storage, there is 64 GB and 128 GB options with up to 1 TB of external memory card support.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is definitely a decent processor to power a budget device of this range. It is better than Helio G80 which is found in many phones on this budget. In the case of battery life, 6000 mAh is the biggest size that we in few powerful phones these days. The company site claims that the Redmi 10 can provide 19 hours of video playback and 10 hours of gaming with a full charge.

Display and Cameras
The front side of the Redmi 10 has a 6.71″ IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution of 720×1650. It has Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection which is a good feature. On top of the screen, there is a 5 MP selfie camera inside a waterdrop notch. On the backside, there is a very big camera island with two cameras. The island is very big for just cameras and it even holds a fingerprint scanner at the corner.
There are two cameras at the backside which include a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. The maximum video recording capability of this setup is 1920x1080p at 30 fps. Xiaomi has used a 2 MP camera as a depth sensor for the secondary camera in this phone but it would have been better to provide an ultrawide angle camera instead. Redmi 10 Prime from last year actually had the best combination with 4 cameras at this price.
