The Galaxy A52 has been upgraded to A52s this year. Samsung has launched Galaxy A52s 5G in Nepal. It is the latest A series phone for the upper mid range price category. The device was announced globally in August. Now, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is making its way to Nepal for Dashain and Tihar. The A52s was announced for Nepal at an online event on 20th September 2021. Samsung is targeting this phone towards millennials, working youth, camera lovers, and basically everyone.
Samsung Galaxy A52 was launched last a few months back and the company has already launched the updated A52s. The new successor has many changes in terms of hardware and feature. One main thing that has changed is the support of the network. In the past, Samsung mid range phones didn’t have 5G. However, now that has changed and Samsung is pushing new modems in mid-range smartphones as well. Instead of just the 4G LTE model, Galaxy A52s supports 5G in Nepal as well. Both NTC and Ncell are working to deploy the network soon. So it seems the Nepali market will be ready with 5G smartphones when the testing starts.

Design and Build
Galaxy A52s comes with industrial looking boxy design and rounded corners. This big boy has a dimension of 159.9 x 75.1 mm and 8.4 mm thickness. The weight of the phone is 189 grams and it packs quite a lot of hardware. The front side of the phone has a big screen with Gorilla Glass. Backside of the phone has a plastic build with a camera island.
At the front, there is a big screen with an earpiece and screen. Then at the right side of the A52s, there is a power button and volume rocker. At the bottom, there is USB Type-C, speaker grill, and headphone jack. Overall the design is similar to the Galaxy A52.
Core Hardware
Compared to the predecessor, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G has a powerful Snapdragon 778G processor with Adreno 642L GPU. The new chipset provides 20% better single-core and 48% better multicore performance compared to the Snapdragon 750G. Galaxy A52s 5G comes with 6 GB and 8 GB RAM. The base model starts with 128 GB goes up to 256 GB storage. The 8 GB version is a better option because of more memory power. In addition, Samsung is also using a new technology called “Ram Plus” In this technology, the phone system uses storage space for RAM functions. It means more apps can be opened in the background without closing. The memory expansion happens according to system need and demand.

Galaxy A52s is powered by a 4500 mAh battery with 25W fast charge support. It is a good charging speed for a battery of this size. However, users will only get a 15W charger with the box. So, if you need faster charging, you need to purchase a 25W fast charger from the market.
Display and Camera
Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 6.5″ Super AMOLED screen. The screen has an FHD+ resolution of 1080×2400 and a 120 Hz refresh rate. This is an improvement from the 90 Hz panel of Galaxy A52. A higher refresh rate allows users to have a much fluid experience in general use and games. In addition, the screen has 800 nits of peak brightness support at High Brightness Mode (HBM). This big panel is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which makes it more scratch-resistant. On top of the Infinity-O screen, there is a dot notch with a 32 MP camera that can record 4K videos at 30 fps.
On the backside, there are four cameras. First and foremost is the 64 MP main wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The 64 MP main camera has optical image stabilization (OIS) and PDAF. Secondly, there is a 12 MP ultrawide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 123˚ field of view. For the third and fourth there are 5 MP macro and depth cameras. Both cameras have an f/2.4 aperture. The backside cameras can shoot videos at the highest settings of 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at 60 fps.

Samsung is using Tetra-binning technology to bin the pixels and produce better images. There are many pixels in a 64 MP sensor, so the camera combines 4 pixels to create one single pixel. This allows better light collection for low-light situations. Ultimately the sensor produces better photos.
Additional Features
Samsung has upgraded its A-series now with some very good features. The first and most important is stereo speakers. Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. This provides fantastic audio to users. It helps to make A52s a very good companion for entertainment and gaming. Then there is IP67 rating which means the phone can withstand 1m water for up to 30 minutes. Actually, the Galaxy A52 already has an IP67 rating but I think that it is a noteworthy feature that other manufacturers miss. Mainly stereo speaker is a very important feature that was demanded for a long time. Finally, it is great to see that these features are making their way down from flagship phones.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G price in Nepal is Rs 53,999 for the 6/128 GB model and Rs 55,999 for the 8/128 GB model. It is available in three colors options which are Awesome Black, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Mint. The Galaxy A52s is available for purchase at Daraz. Samsung is also offering EMI on this device by partnering with NIC Asia Bank, Machhapuchhre Bank, Sunrise Bank Limited, Citizens Bank, and Sanima Bank.
